Booking and confirmation
Places are booked by email at moseleinangrun@gmail.com. To secure a place, a booking fee of 50,000 ISK must be paid. The booking fee is deducted from the total stay price and is non-refundable if complications arise during the import process.
Payment arrangements
You may choose an online banking payment request or a SaltPay instalment agreement. Instalments are available to holders of an Icelandic credit card. Payments may be spread over up to 36 months.
The stay must be paid in full no later than the day after the animal arrives at the station.
Prices and animal identification registration
- Dog quarantine: 220,000 ISK. From 1 January 2027: 260,000 ISK.
- Cat quarantine: 110,000 ISK. From 1 January 2027: 150,000 ISK.
An additional registration fee of 2,500 ISK per animal applies for registration in Dýrauðkenni.
Changing an arrival period
An animal may be moved to another arrival group by notifying Mósel at least two weeks in advance. If less notice is given, the full fee will be charged.
Included services
The price includes airport transport, care, food, and one bath and blow-dry before discharge. If an animal needs special treatment for an infection, the owner pays separately.
Transport and additional fees
- Airport transport between 21:00 and 07:00 costs an additional 35,000 ISK.
- Transport to Reykjavík after quarantine is available on request for 20,000 ISK.
Import risks and extended stays
Owners must understand the risks associated with importing pets. An animal’s stay may be extended if an infection or contagious disease is suspected. Owners are encouraged to read the current laws, regulations and guidance from the Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority (MAST) concerning pet import and quarantine.
Insurance
Mósel’s terms state that separate insurance cannot be arranged for the animal during its stay. At discharge, the owner receives a completed insurance certificate for their insurer.
Acceptance of terms
